Today, EEWUD was proud to join the Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy Eswatini in commemorating World Water Day 2026 at Phonjwane Sports Ground, under the Gilgal Constituency in the Lubombo Region.
Under this year's theme, "Water and Gender," the event brought together the MNRE, water management institutions, other stakeholders and the community to reflect on the critical role of water in promoting dignity, inclusion and sustainable development.
Present during the event was the Principal Secretary Ms. Lindiwe Mbingo representing the Honourable Minister HRH Prince Lonkhokhelo, who stressed that the commemoration highlighted the importance of collective action in ensuring equitable access to safe and reliable water.
EEWUD remains committed to stregnthening water governance, promoting responsible water use and supporting communities in building a more inclusive water-secure future.
