EEWUD Convened a Stakeholder Workshop at Tsambokhulu

Today, EEWUD convened a productive stakeholder engagement session with Phakama Mafucula Farmers Association and Mnyangombili Farmers Association at Tsambokhulu.

The session focused on key issues including the renewal of water permits, compliance with allocated volumes and the installation of measuring devices at water abstraction points along the Komati River. These measures are essential in ensuring accountability, efficient water use and long-term sustainability of water resources within the Komati Basin.

EEWUD also reaffirmed its role as the authorised custodian of water resources abstracted from the Komati River, emphasising the importance of adherence to regulations and responsible water management by all users. Such engagements remain critical in stregnthening collaboration with farmers and ensuring that water resources are managed equitably and sustainably for the benefit of all.
